SOUTH BEND - Dorothy E. Howell, 79, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend. She was born July 11, 1930, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Melza (Mike) and Beatrice Hoover (Redell).

She married Douglas H. Wray on Dec. 7, 1946, they later divorced. She then married Monte K. Howell on Nov. 25, 1966; he survives at the family home in Nemah.
