ASTORIA - Seaside, Ore., resident Elizabeth B. "Beth" Auburg, 81, died Nov. 17, 2007, in Astoria. The daughter of Clarence Anable and Blanche Wood Anable, she was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Whatcom County.

She was raised in Whatcom County and graduated from Meridian High School in 1946.

On Oct. 17, 1952, she married Norman R. Auburg. She was a wonderful housewife and mother who enjoyed raising her three boys. Her hobby was crocheting.

In 1987 they moved to Long Beach where Mr. and Mrs. Auburg remained until the spring of 2006, when they moved to Seaside, Ore.

Survivors include her husband, Norman, in Seaside; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Ann Auburg of Sedro-Woolley. a son, Dale Auburg of Long Beach; and a brother, Richard Anable of Whidbey Island. Her son, Daniel Auburg, preceded her in death in 1988.

At her request there will be no funeral service. Private internment will be held at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton, Ore. Memorial contributions may be given to Lower Columbia Hospice in care of Caldwell's Luce Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Avenue, Astoria, OR 97103.
