Obituaries: Letha Mae Meredith

VANCOUVER - Former Ilwaco resident Letha Mae Meredith, 77, of Vancouver, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in Vancouver. She was born on April 12, 1929, in Woodburn, Ore., the daughter of Lewis and Leona Morris-Brown Faulkner. She was raised in Woodburn and received her education there.

She loved crocheting, sewing, and playing pool. She was a volunteer at the River City School of Arts and Crafts in Ilwaco. Mrs. Meredith had been a waitress and cook during her working career and retired in 1994. She had been a resident of the Ilwaco area since 1973 and had moved back to Vancouver in September 2005. She will be missed by her many friends on the Peninsula.

Survivors include her sons, David Vick and Ernest J. Linson Jr. of Vancouver; brothers, Larry Faulkner of Eugene, Ore., Bob Faulkner of Portland, Ore., and Dewey Morris of Portland, Ore.; sisters Bonnie Ogle of Portland, Ore., and Cora LeBold of Union, Ore.; four grandsons, two great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter all of Vancouver.

At her request no formal services will be held.
