CENTRALIA - On Jan. 14, 2010, Lois J. Rogers, 76, a resident of Naselle for more than 40 years, passed away in Centralia. The daughter of Vera Ghent (Paul) and Charles Mahlke, she was born Aug. 1, 1933, in Wheeling, W.V., where she grew up.

On Sept. 21, 1956, she married Doug Rogers in Portland. They made their home in Naselle. She loved to read, cook, sew, and spend time and play games with her family and friends. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Naselle Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her children, Roberta (Dave) Caton of Naselle, Helen (Jeff) Beasley of Centralia, Paula Rogers of Selah and Doug (Josie) Rogers Jr., of Grandview; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Newell-Hoerling Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
