BATTLE GROUND - Margaret "Margy" M. Kirsch Patten, 80, died July 27, 2007, in Battle Ground. She was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Seaview to Joseph C. and Lois Wade.

She graduated from Ilwaco High School with the class of 1944 and worked at Red O'Connel's "Siberrian" in Ilwaco during the 40s and later worked in the cranberry processing plant for the Glenn Family. She was the Noble Grand of the Ocean Beach Rebekah Lodge Number 313 in 1957.

Ms. Patten moved from the Peninsula in 1961 to Battle Ground, but always loved returning for her class reunions. Before retirement she worked as a cashier in retail grocery and as a laundry assistant at a nursing home. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends; bowling, playing pinochle and taking trips to Spirit Mountain. She last lived at St. Helens Manor in Battle Ground.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Evans of Battle Ground, Kathy Marsolek of Brush Prairie; son, Rick Kirsch of Vancouver; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dick Kirsch in 1966; daughter, Sharon Foster in 1978 and great-granddaughter Paige Stern in 1994.

No services are planned, with interment at Ilwaco Cemetery.
