LONGVIEW - Virginia "Ginger" Mae Pugh, 65, died Nov. 7, 2007, at Community Hospice in Longview. She was born Sept. 4, 1942, in Artesia, Calif., to Howard and Marjorie (Knight) Whitecotton.

She lived in Longview for many years, but resided in Long Beach for the last two years. Eight years ago, she married Paul M. Pugh.

Mrs. Pugh loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved sewing, gardening and decorating.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; two sons Dan (Jean) McArthur and Darrin Halleck; two daughters Merilee (Robert Stang) Cameron and Marisa (Kevin) Greear; her mother Marjorie Dow; her brother Anthony Aguirre; two sisters Dianna (Ken) Smith and Yvonne "Bonnie" (Bob) Walstrom; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her father and brother preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at Fathers House, 1315 Commerce Ave. in Longview. Burial has taken place at Longview Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.
