PORTLAND - William C. Delavan, 68, of Seaview, died Oct. 17, 2010, in Portland. Mr. Delavan was born Sept. 15, 1942, in Portland to Elizabeth and Alfred Delavan.

He lived and worked around Portland for most of his life, and on Aug. 4, 1962, married Janet. Mr. Delavan drove semi-truck for companies in Portland and Seattle for more than 20 years, and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He retired in 2005. The couple had lived on the Peninsula for 13 years.

Survivors include his wife, Janet, of Seaview; his mother, Elizabeth Delavan, of Portland; three sons, David Delavan of Lakewood, Robert Delavan of Ballard and Mark Delavan of Seattle; a brother, G.N. Delavan of Yuma, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Paige Delavan of Lakewood, and Bella and Luke Delavan of Seattle.

No public service will be held. Arrangements are by Crown Memorial Centers in Portland.
