ASTORIA - Astoria Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will hold their next meeting on April 7 at 12:30 at the Hong Kong Restaurant in Astoria.

Following the meeting, members and guests will meet at the Custom House in Astoria at 2 p.m. to plant a seedling from the Minute Man Maple in Concord, Mass.

Members are continuing to collect children's books for the two local hospitals.

Marilyn Smith of Ocean Park, Kathleen Zimmer of Ocean Park and Libbie Allen of Cannon Beach are being welcomed as the chapter's newest members.

Carlotta Strandberg, Evelyn Laughman, Rebecca Glen and Sue Glen will be the chapter's delegates to the Oregon State Society DAR Conference at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches, May 13-16. President General Linda Tinker Watkins will be the guest at that meeting.

Persons interested in membership are asked to call Sue Glen, regent or Helen Gaston, registrar.
