LONG BEACH - Ocean View Convalescent Center is welcoming a new executive director, Sara Eastburn.

"She is doing fantastically," said Nadine DeKlerk, vice president of Life Care Centers of America's Evergreen Region. "She's very fair and grounded, and she's definitely a team player. Not only does she have the business and operations background, but she also has clinical experience, and that combination makes for a good administrator."

"There's a good team here, and we're still building it, so this position offers an exciting opportunity," Eastburn said. "I hope to make it an even better environment for the residents with a focus on their quality of life and wellbeing."

Eastburn comes to Ocean View Convalescent Center from a nursing facility in Brunswick, Ohio, where she served as administrator. Prior to that appointment, she was administrator at Evergreen Health Care in Bozeman, Mont. She has also served in the subacute care setting.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Eastburn earned her bachelor's degree in long-term care administration from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

She resides in Long Beach. She has two daughters: 22-year-old Sarah and 19-year-old Laurel.

Ocean View Convalescent Center, located at 211 Pioneer Rd., West, in Long Beach, is one of 21 facilities in Washington operated by Life Care Centers of America.
