LONG BEACH - The residents and staff of Ocean View Convalescent Center were pleased to welcome Daisy-Belle to the family. Daisy-Belle is a white short-haired guinea pig that was donated to Ocean View by the Pacific County Humane Society. Diana Galbreath, director of the Pacific County Humane Society, went to great lengths to locate and bring Daisy-Belle to the center. The residents just love her!

The staff and residents send their sincere thanks to the owners of Unique Petique for their time, assistance and generosity as they supplied Daisy-Belle with all the items that helped create her new home.

On March 24 Ocean View Convalescent Center is hosting its Children's Pet Fair. We invite the community to enter their favorite small pet (excluding cats and dogs) and take the opportunity to meet Daisy-Belle. The Children's Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For information contact Sally or Kim at 642-3123.

If you are interested in adopting your own guinea pig or other special pet, please call the Humane Society at 642-1180.
