PENINSULA - Jeff Gee, Robbert and Teresa Warner, Larkin Stentz, Anthony and Victoria Stoppiello, Diana Thompson and John Adams, Jim Dolan - these are some of the present and past Pacific County folks who have jumped into the alternative energy arena to give it a whirl. They are retrofitting their homes for solar water heaters, photovoltaic arrays or wind generators mostly because they think it is the right thing to do.

The business world has a term for adventurous individuals or companies who try new products first - they are called "early adopters." Often these individuals are excited enough about new technologies or gizmos that they jump into the market even if the products are very expensive or likely to be "buggy."
