On July 21 at 9:04 p.m. deputies made a traffic stop on an ATV at the intersection of SR-103 and 251st street in Ocean Park. A moped, which was riding with the three-wheeler, also pulled to the roadside. The driver of the ATV had no identification. The driver was placed into handcuffs and searched. Located was drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamines. The 17-year-old male was booked into Pacific County Jail for possession of suspected methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia and no vehicle operator license without identification.
The driver of the moped was also contacted and is known by law enforcement. A driver's license check showed his license was suspended third-degree. A deputy placed Frank Brumitt Jr., 26 years of age of Ocean Park, in custody. During a search of Brumitt, suspected methamphetamine was located. Brumitt was booked into Pacific County Jail for possession of methamphetamines, no valid operator's license and third-degree driving while license suspended.
