Pauly's Bistro open for business at east end of Ilwaco's port row

Paul Coile and Jeff Marcus, new owners of Pauly's Bistro at The Port of Ilwaco, welcome you with fresh original cuisine.

ILWACO - Pauly's Bistro, offering an affordable alternative for dining, is open for business at 235 Howerton Street in Ilwaco at the east end of the Port of Ilwaco. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch; and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. for dinner.

Owners Paul Coile, Jeff and Geri Marcus felt that the timing was right for opening their own restaurant. With 35 years of professional cooking experience between them, they are excited about being able to offer folks great food at affordable prices - with customer satisfaction their primary purpose.

Jeff said, "90 percent of the chefs cook for 10 percent of the people ... we want to cook for the rest."

A lunch at Pauly's might start with their Bistro salad which includes mixed greens with apple candied pecans and crumbled gorgonzola tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Once you've licked your lips on that you might want to try the sesame oysters with tarragon tartar sauce, apple fennel slaw and garlic parsley fries.

Their dinner menu entices you with calamari, pan-seared with fresh tomatoes and basil, finished with a squeeze of lemon and red chili flakes, tosssed with fettucini. There is always a special to choose from and dessert is delectable.

They will be holding several special events in the future, such as a Slipper Meat Festival in August and the Whistle Pig Toss in October. Find out more about these interesting events and original menu items by stopping in at Pauly's Bistro, or give them a call at 642-8447.
