SEATTLE - Sid Snyder was elected to attend the Democratic National Convention in Boston as an at-large alternate delegate.

Democrats are in Boston to formally nominate John Kerry as their presidential candidate.

During this four-day event, Washington state will be represented at the convention by 95 delegates and 13 alternate delegates.

Snyder, owner of Sid's Supermarket in Seaview, lives in Butterfly Shores with his wife Bette. He recently retired as majority leader of the Washington State Senate.
