10/9 Pet Report

Julie Mullins photo

How can someone give up a pet after so many years? Sally is a 6-year-old Keeshound and was placed in a shelter where her future was dismal. Only by luck did she get to our shelter. She is a wonderful and gentle dog who needs someone to love her.

We also have many other wonderful dogs, cats and kittens of various sizes and breeds just waiting for that special family to call their own.

We will be holding our monthly meeting Thursday, Oct. 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the shelter. Everyone is invited!

Oct. 26 will be our annual Halloween party. It will be held at the shelter from noon to 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to dress up and have some fun. Prizes will be awarded for costumes on adults, children and pets. Judging will be at 2 p.m. Don't miss the fun.

We are in desperate need of non-clumping cat litter. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

We are located at 330 Second. Street N.E. in Long Beach. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Phone: 642-1180.
