On May 9 at 10:30 a.m., it was discovered that the sign for the Ilwaco Community Building had been knocked over.

At 11 a.m., someone reported an individual in a large truck who “keeps tearing up the Bolstad approach and then charging” the owners to pull the cars out. 

On May 10 at 11:50 a.m., a guest at a local resort reported forgetting her cell phone charger and she asked an employee to charge it for her. When she got the phone back she noticed that “compromising pictures” that she had on her phone of herself had been sent to another employee. 

On May 11 at 4:08 a.m., an attempt was made to enter a business in Long Beach.

At 1:10 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported. The suspect vehicle was located but the driver didn’t realize another vehicle had been hit. Insurance information was exchanged.

On May 12 at 12:28 p.m., a cell phone was reported stolen from the school.

On May 15 at 11:23 p.m., Cody A. Brown, age 22, from Long Beach, was arrested and booked into Pacific County Jail on a misdemeanor warrant.

At 11:42 a.m., Kenneth A. Herman, age 43, from Long Beach was booked into Pacific County Jail for domestic violence fourth-degree assault.

At 11:36 p.m., Colin B. Williams, age 33, from Portland was booked into Pacific County Jail for domestic violence fourth-degree assault after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend.

On May 2, at 5:27 p.m., a woman reported someone stole six dog treats and two empty CD cases valued at $1.44.

At 8:17 p.m., Jeremy G. Cox, age 23, from Ocean Park was cited for third-degree driving while license suspended.

On May 3 at 3:05 p.m., Joyce A. Zacharias, age 46, from Long Beach was cited for third-degree driving while license suspended, speeding, operating motor vehicle without insurance, no license on person.

On May 6 at 7:10 a.m., a woman said she was sitting on the stairs to an apartment complex smoking pot with another tenant and later when she went back into her apartment she found her purse and been gone through with medication and cash taken.

On May 8 at 6:30 a.m., someone reported an unresponsive, intoxicated man in a hot tub. The man refused treatment from Medix.



Pacific County Sheriff’s Department

On May 11 a Pacific County Drug Task Force deputy was assisting the Department of Corrections community custody officer with contacting a subject under DOC supervision. During that contact, Heather Russell, age 25, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. During the arrest Russell provided an Astoria address. She was transported to the Pacific County Jail, where she was booked for possession of methamphetamine.
