PACIFIC COUNTY - Results of the Sept. 14 primary election were finalized by the Pacific County Auditor's Office. There were 5,942 votes cast, or 47 percent of registered voters voted in this primary. Voter breakdown was as follows: 3,676 Democratic; 1,777 Republican; 62 Libertarian.

Results of local ballot measures and initiative results: Pacific County Proposition No. 1, Criminal Justice Levy: Yes 1,525; No 1,768. Pacific County Fire District No. 5, Proposition No. 1: Levy Yes 134, Levy No. 48. City of South Bend, General Obligation Bond, Proposition No. 1: Approved 141, Rejected 162.

Going into the General Election for Pacific County Board of County Commissioners Position 1 will be Jon Kaino, Democrat and Jamie Webber, Republican. For Board of County Commissioners Position 2 it will be Norman "Bud" Cuffel, Democrat and Rudy DeSwart, Republican.
