OCEAN PARK - After operating for four years in their previous facility, Rainbow Child Care Center recently relocated to make room for the construction of the new Ocean Park school.
From their new center, children and staff will be able to take walking field trips to the Timberland Regional Library for story time and crazy crafts, to the new school's playground and the beach.
Rainbow Child Care Center approaches every day with imagination, innovation, and most importantly, fun! Their curriculum includes a variety of hands-on activities that stimulate early brain development, with a focus on creative play. Kay Bannister, an experienced early childhood speech language pathologist, is on the staff, bringing an understanding of assisting children as they develop at their individual paces.
In addition to a new center, owner Jeri Wilson notes, "Our toddler program is new for children 12 months to 2 1/2 years. Now we provide a preschool program for children 3-year-olds on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m., and for 4-year-olds on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. "
The center is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In addition to morning and afternoon activities, Rainbow Child Care Center provides breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack for all children attending, with meals meeting USDA guidelines.
Located across from the Ocean Park post office at 25501 Vernon Ave., Rainbow Child Care accepts children from 12 months to 12 years of age and has a staff of six. Contact Jeri Wilson at 665-0122 for more information about their toddler, preschool and child care programs.
