GRAYS RIVER - Raymond E. Krull, 82, of Grays River, died Jan. 21, 2003 in a Cathlamet nursing home.

The son on Carl and Elvina (Hukreid) Krull, he was born March 5, 1920 and grew up on a farm in Bertha, Minn. He moved to Desert Hot Springs, Calif. where he resided for many years before moving to Grays River two years ago.

He served in the Army in World War II, and spent 32 months overseas as an artillery gunney. Mr. Krull enjoyed gardening and traveling and taking road trips with his wife. He also like to read, was a family man and really enjoyed his great-great-grandchildren.

Surviviors include two daughters: LaVilla South of Grays River and Virginia Tyler of Palm Springs, Calif.; one brother: Linden Krull of Barnesville, Minn.; five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva in October of 2000 and a brother, Walter.

At his request there will be no service. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Disabled Veterans of America, National Service Association, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250.
