SOUTH BEND — A suspect wanted in Hillsboro, Ore., on charges of burglary and robbery in the first degree was arrested Thursday, Oct. 20, in the South Bend area. The alleged offenses are thought to be gang related.

Pacific County law officers had received an all-points bulletin the same day for Vincente E. Meza, 23. Pacific County Drug Task Force deputies received information that Meza was at a residence in the South Bend area. With help by the Raymond and South Bend Police, deputies conducted surveillance of the residence and established that Meza was there.

Officers entered the residence and arrested Meza without incident. During the arrest, the deputies and officers noticed items relating to narcotics use and sales inside the residence. Deputies applied for a search warrant and it was granted. The warrant was served and during the course of the search of the residence, deputies located more than a pound of processed marijuana ready for sale, suspected methamphetamine and narcotics-related paraphernalia.

Meza was transported to the Pacific County Jail for booking on the outstanding Felony Warrant issued from Hillsboro. Other narcotics-related charges are pending and will be filed with the Pacific County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
