Pancake Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at the Peninsula Senior Activity Center on Pacific Highway at Klipsan, on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Enjoy pancakes with scrambled eggs and ham or biscuits and sausage gravy with scrambled eggs, plus a beverage. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Bring your friends and your appetite!

Ice Cream Social

The Peninsula Senior Activity Center will celebrate their monthly birthdays on Monday, Feb. 18, beginning at 2 p.m. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to come to the socials. Children are welcome. If it is your birthday month, there is no charge for your cake and ice cream; otherwise it is just $1. Plus there is sugar-free ice cream and angel food cake available.

Community Dinner

The Senior Center is holding a fundraising dinner open to the community on Feb. 21 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The main course for the meal is chicken marabella. The cost is just $7 for adults and $4 for children. The public is encouraged to come support the Senior Center.

MondaysTai Chi class

Tai Chi is offered from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Mondays.

TuesdaysDrawing Class

A drawing class is offered each Tuesday at 10 a.m.


Join the cribbage bunch that plays each Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Fundraisers Group

Bring your fundraising ideas Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.


Play pinochle at the Senior Center Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1 to 4 p.m.



Yoga is offered from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays.


Play pinochle every Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m.

ThursdaysTai Chi class

Tai Chi is offered from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Thursdays.


If you enjoy playing pinochle, come to the Senior Center Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

FridaysWatercolor Painting Class

Come to a watercolor painting class each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the center.

Senior Crafters

Senior crafters meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the activity center.

Blood pressure checks

Get your blood pressure checked on Fridays for free from 9:30 a.m. to noon.


More than 200 DVDs and VHS videos are available for check out at the Center between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. There is no charge and you may borrow up to two at a time.
