KLIPSAN — The Peninsula Senior Activity Center celebrated May birthdays with chocolate cake, banana cake and ice cream. Doris Shoemaker turned 82 this month, and Lucile Robinson-Lee turned 83. Thank you to Jeri Crumbley for donating the delicious banana cake.

Don’t miss a great breakfast on Saturday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the center. You are sure to enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage or biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, plus a beverage for $5 for adults or $3 for children


From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, June 4, the Peninsula Senior Center is holding a Community Open House. Want to learn about volunteer opportunities in the community? Representatives from various social, health and non-profit organizations will be on hand to explain their programs and answer any questions. Lunch will be available for a nominal fee. Each Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to noon enjoy sewing, quilting, rug weaving, fellowship and fun at the Naselle Congregational Church. Each Friday a senior lunch and social is held at the church at 14 Parpala Road in Naselle from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is at noon, with Scrabble, dominos, puzzles and more available.
