Sheriann Wirkkala nominated to compete for NASP Scholarship

NASELLE - Sheriann Wirkkala, a Naselle High School senior and member of the National Honor Society, has been nominated to compete for the National Honor Society scholarship sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Two-hundred national winners will be chosen to receive $1,000 college scholarships.

Wirkkala was nominated on the basis of her leadership skills, participation in extracurricular activities, and academic record.

During her high school career, Wirkkala has held numerous student government and club leadership offices and participated in cheerleading, volleyball, softball, band, drama, pep club and knowledge bowl. She has also won numerous academic awards while taking advanced courses and maintaining a 4.0 grade point average.

Sheriann is the daughter of Greg and Karen Wirkkala of Naselle.
