LONG BEACH - Stephanie Elink Post died in Long Beach on Dec. 31, 2002.

She was born on June 15, 1916 in Northport to Austrian immigrants Zachary (Mike) and Martha (Sakaluk) Eliuk. The youngest graduate of Northport High School she had skipped two grades and finished high school at age 14. She attended modeling school and worked as a model in Seattle.

She met and married Wesley Post in 1941. They lived in California most of their married life and she worked at Fox Studios in Hollywood. She was Gene Reynolds' private secretary when he was producing the television show "M.A.S.H."

An avid reader she was interested in all types of educational courses. She took many night classes at community colleges in the areas where she lived. She and her husband volunteered for different events but her favorite was the classical piano competitions in Palm Desert, Calif. She followed professional baseball, especially the Dodgers and was a member of the Orthodox Church. The couple retired to Palm Desert in the mid 1980s. Wesley Post died in 1987.

Mrs. Post is survived by two sisters, Anna Clark of Chinook and Sally Dunker of Seattle; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Lois Elink of Washougal; eight nieces and nephews; seventeen grandnieces and grandnephews and many great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Inurnment will be at Ilwaco Cemetery in Ilwaco. A memorial service will be announced later this summer. Arrangements by Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach.
