AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF

ILWACO, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A

MORATORIUM PROHIBITING THE PRODUCTION, PROCESSING AND RETAIL SALES OF

RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA AND SETTING

A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON

Section 1. Findings. Adopts findings in support of moratorium. Section 2. Enacts moratorium prohibiting licensing, permitting and establishment of any use consisting of or including the production, processing and/or retail sales of recreational marijuana within all zoning districts within the City of Ilwaco. Section 3. Term of Moratorium. Sets initial period of moratorium to six (6) months. Section 4. Public Hearing. Specifies public hearing shall be scheduled within sixty (60) days. Section 5. Refers to staff and Planning Commission to study existing zoning and propose regulations. Section 6. Ordinance to be transmitted to Department of Commerce. Section 7. Severability. Section 8. Declaration of emergency. Section 9. Publication. Section 10. Effective Date. This Ordinance takes effect immediately upon passage. A full copy of the ordinance is on file at Ilwaco City Hall, 120 First Av. N., Ilwaco, WA. Passed by the Ilwaco City Council the 12th day of November, 2013.
