PENINSULA - Now is the time to buy your raffle ticket to support the Long Beach Peninsula Visitors Bureau's Building Fund project. Raffle tickets are only $1 each.

You have your choice of five different packages, each valued at approximately $400 and include lodging, dining and other amenities specific to the package. The packages are:

The "Wine, Dine and Sweet Dreams Package," which features two nights at The Whalebone house, dinner for two at the Ark Restaurant, lunch for two at The Lightship Restaurant, and a gift certificate to Blackwood Fine Wines and Gifts.

The "Kite Flyin' RV Package," which includes three nights parking at Anderson's RV Park, two kits from Above It All Kite Shop, two passes to the Kite Museum, dinner for two at The Shoalwater Restaurant, dinner for two at Dooger's Seafood Grill, lunch for two at The Berry Patch, a gift certificate to Campiche Studios, a gift certificate at Unique Petique, and RV propane tank fill-up at Active Enterprises, Inc.

The "Gone Fishing Package" which includes one day of fishing for two people at Coho Charters, gourmet box lunches for two from The Canoe Room, processing for your fish from Dockside Cannery, two nights lodging at Heidi's Inn, and a gift certificate to Nautical Brass Gifts.

The "Beach Blanket Bonanza Package" which includes two nights lodging at The Anchorage Motel, breakfast for four at Debi's Restaurant, horseback rides with Back Country Wilderness Outfitters, laser tag for four at Funland Arcade, a family pass to the Kite Museum, a 'Jake the Alligator Man' sweatshirt from March's Free Museum, and a State Parks parking pass.

And, the "Lewis and Clark Slept Here - You Can Too Package" features two nights accommodations in The Breakers Motel, gourmet dinner for two at The 42nd Street Cafe, lunch for two at Kelly's Deli, a framed Lewis and Clark poster, a lighthouse collector's coin from Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, two passes to the Interpretive Center, two passes to the Ilwaco Heritage Museum, passes to the Carriage Museum in Raymond and two days of State Park parking passes.

In addition to all of this, Sara Zaga from Whim Studios has donated a painting to the raffle. The painting, which has a circus motif, was designed to include an image of each of the five current raffle packages.

Tickets are available at the Long Beach Visitors Bureau, at the Chinook Observer at 205 Bolstad Avenue East, Suite 2. Drawing for each of the five prize packages will take place on Sept. 29, and winners do not need to be present to win.

WANTED: Energetic folks who enjoy working with the public and are excited about sharing this area with visitors. The Long Beach Peninsula Visitors Bureau is looking for a few good volunteers who can work one half-day/week.
