50th Wedding Anniversary: Lonnie and Eleanor Stanley

Lonnie and Eleanor StanleyLONG BEACH - Lonnie L. and Eleanor M. (Pegg) Stanley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on March 13, 2004, at the Lamplighter Inn in Seaview.

The couple was married March 13, 1954, in Longview. Lonnie worked for Weyerhaeuser Pulp, owned the Coal Creek Store and Endless Gutters until the couple moved to Vancouver in 1975. There they operated the H&H Inn.

In 1980, Lonnie and Eleanor relocated to Long Beach and purchased the Tides Restaurant and Lounge. Then in 1988 they bought the Lamplighter Inn Restaurant and Lounge. They sold both in 1992 and are now enjoying retirement.

Their children will host the anniversary celebration. They are: Jennifer and Ray Merrill of Oak Harbor; Teri Pickering of San Pedro, Calif.; Bob and Diane Stanley of Gresham, Ore.; Jerry Stanley of Woodburn, Ore.; Rob and Karen Stanley of Chehalis; and Cody and Pam Stanley of Battle Ground.

In addition, the Stanleys have 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to stop by and join them in their celebration.
