Stuart J. and Donna K. (Cole) FreeseLONG BEACH - Stuart J. and Donna K. (Cole) Freese will celebrate their golden anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, at the Masonic Temple, 205 Spruce St. in Ilwaco.
The couple was married in Orangeville, Ill., on March 7, 1954. They have lived in Pacific County for 29 years. Stuart worked for various telephone companies, and retired in 1992 from what is now CenturyTel. Donna was employed as a bookkeeper, working the longest at FS Service Co.
In addition to local friends and family, the couple will be joined by Stuart's 98-year-old mother, Ethelyn Freese, who is flying in from Illinois for the occasion. Donna's 91-year-old father, Curt Cole, is unable to attend.
The Freeses' children and their spouses, Marla and Jack Johnson and Jeff and Sue Freese, live in Long Beach. Their four grandchildren are Kathryn, Kristina and Kelly Freese of Long Beach, and Janet Norgard of Portland. The Freeses have three great-grandchildren: Krystle and Steven Thomas and Brant Hajek, all of Portland.
The party will be hosted by the couple's children and grandchildren.
