Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at approximately 1:56 a.m. Saturday morning along Washington State Route 103, two miles north of Long Beach, Wash. Authorities say alcohol and speed were the causes of the crash.

Troopers said Jerri Hirsch, 40, of Seaview, Wash., lost control of her vehicle, which drove into a northbound ditch, striking a telephone pole before it spun around and came to a rest in the road. Washington State Route 103 was closed for two hours as a result of the crash.

The Washington State Patrol charged Hirsch with DUII.

Hirsch was wearing a seat belt and suffered bruises and abrasions. She was transported to Ocean Beach Hospital. A passenger in the vehicle also suffered bruises and abrasions and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
