OPHIR, ORE. - Vern K. Dunham, 71, died Jan. 15, 2004, in Ophir, Ore. He was born July 31, 1933, in Calio, N.D. to Palmer and Ruth (Olsen) Dunham.

Survivors include is wife, Margaret at home; daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Dan Parker of Ocean Park; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Gloria Dunham of Kennewick, Brian and Debra Dunham of Brush Prairie, and Leon Dunham of Corvalis, Ore.; stepson Burton Wann of Heber Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Arlene (Hal) Sandberg of Madelia, Minn., Ruby (Stanley) Swanson of Karlstad, Minn.; brother Loren (DeeAnne) Dunham of Fairmont, Minn.; sister-in-law, Vera Dunham of Minneapolis, Minn.; brother-in-law, Al Gilborn of Braham, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

At his request, no service will be held. Rather than flowers, he wished to be remembered through Curry County Hospice in Gold Beach, Ore., which gave him such kind care, Curry Health Foundation of Gold Beach, Ore., or the charity of your choice.
