WARRENTON - The Federal Aviation Administration has extended the deadline for public comments on Oregon LNG's application for a waiver to build three liquefied natural gas storage tanks near the Astoria Regional Airport in Warrenton.

The issue has been controversial because of concerns about the infringement of airspace.

Port of Astoria Director Jack Crider said he has received confirmation that the new deadline for comments will be Oct. 30.
