Despite the government shutdown, Pacific County’s Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) will continue at least until the end of October.

The WIC program provides nutritious foods, nutrition assessments and education, breastfeeding support, and health referrals to pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 for families whose income is at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level. Pacific County Health Department contracts with the state to provide this program.
