LONGVIEW — Longtime Raymond resident, Carol Albrecht, 76, died May 25, 2011, at the Hospice Care Center in Longview, after a six-year battle with cancer. The daughter of Francis and Maud Tower, she was born Oct. 29, 1935, in Raymond.

She and Fred Albrecht Jr. were married March 1, 1958, in Raymond.

Mrs. Albrecht attended Centralia College and was employed as an accounting tech at the Veterans Administration Hospital, retiring in 1995.

She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading. Her family describes her as loving, determined, strong and charitable. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Daniels of Cathlamet; a son, Fred Albrecht of Vancouver; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Both her parents, and her brothers, Cecil, Carl and Clifton, preceded her in death.

A service is set for 10 a.m., June 1 at Columbia Funeral Services at 1105 Maple Street in Longview.
