Gordon Herman Duscha

LONGVIEW — Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2015, at the Hospice Care Center in Longview surrounded by his loving family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Herman and Anna Duscha; and a grandson, Mathew Munger.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth. They recently celebrated 65 years of love and happiness. Also surviving are his children, Sandy Munger (Steve), Joann May (Ross), and Jim Duscha (Kim); and a brother, James Duscha. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Gordon graduated from Foley High School in Foley, Minn., in 1946. He left the farm to work at Weyerhaeuser Plywood as an electrician. He met Ruth Wenzel in 1950 at Grace Lutheran Church in May and they married in September.

Gordon enjoyed woodworking and making family heirlooms for his loved ones. He was a member of Ocean Park Lutheran Church where he made many friends.

A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday at Ocean Park Lutheran Church. Memorial donations can be made to the church or the Hospice Care Center.
