PORTLAND JoAnn Lorraine (Champers) Warner, 45, died April 28, 2011, in Portland. The daughter of Bev and Jess Champers, she was born Sept. 8, 1965, in Edmonds.
She attended Cottage Lake Elementary, Leota Junior High School and graduated from Bothell High School before attending Bellevue Beauty College and the Seattle Art Institute from which she earned an associate degree.
She had lived in Ocean Park for the past 14 years and was a cosmetologist and the owner of Beauty at the Beach in Ocean Park. She loved her children, her family and friends, her clients and her dog, Blue. She also loved the beach, clam digging and drama, and was a talented artist and a creative cook.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her two children, Zoey Amanda Warner, age 10, Isak Earl Warner, age 7, of Oysterville; her brother, Jesse Champers of Renton; her nieces and nephew, Addy, Elly and Kendrew Champers of Renton; her aunts and uncles, Linda and Hugh Kelly of Camano Island, Barbara Archer of Corinth, Miss., and Bob and Diane Keene of Cedar Hills, Utah; her great aunt, Doris DeMers of Hobson, Mont.; as well as many cousins in Washington, Kentucky and Mississippi.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 14 at Peninsula Baptist Church at 23802 Pacific Highway 103 in Ocean Park.
