Mary Kay Osborne

CHINOOK — Mary Kay Osborne, age 56, passed away January 5, 2017, in Chinook. She was born at the Ilwaco Hospital to Wallace “Buddy” and Mary Lou (Howard) Osborne. She was a lifelong resident of Chinook and graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1978.

Mary Kay worked on fish processing ships in Alaska and at the Chinook Packing Company for several years. She enjoyed baking and pottery making. She was always ready for an adventure outside, enjoying hiking and riding her bicycle. A lover of animals, she had a pony, cats and her faithful dog, Elsie, was always at her side.

Mary Kay was her own gentle little soul and was kind to everyone. There was always an impish grin on her face.

She is survived by her father; a brother; Kenny (Laura) Osborne of Chinook; a sister, Peggy Osborne of Vancouver; aunts Kathi Miller of Vancouver and Doris (Tom) Dean of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her mother and her stepmother Jerry (Skeel) Osborne.

For those who wish to honor Mary Kay, donations may be made to the Pacific County Humane Society or Friends of Chinook School.

A celebration of life potluck will be held at the Fish Trap Pub on Highway 101 in Chinook on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
