LONG BEACH — Helen Louise Oneal, a longtime resident of the Long Beach peninsula, died March 15, 2020, in Long Beach. She died the Ides of March, at 95-1/2 years old. She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She and her husband Bill Oneal, ran an ocean charter fishing service out of Ilwaco for over a decade.

Helen was a 40-year member of Eastern Star. She also belonged to the Rebekahs. She was active in the community and volunteered at the local food bank as well at a Long Beach thrift store for many years.

Helen was a compassionate and generous soul. She loved decorating for the holidays, her overflowing flower gardens, her puzzles, books, pets and family.

She is survived by her five children: Anita, Patricia, John, Terry and Dianne.
