Kenneth Schmaltz

OCEAN PARK — On Sept. 2, 2021, Kenneth A. Schmaltz, 71, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on Aug. 16, 1950, in Rugby, North Dakota.

He was a long-time resident of Long Beach and Ocean Park. He was an active member of his church and the community. A master carpenter, he could always be found in his shop working on projects for family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Louella Schmaltz; stepdaughter Charla Hodges; granddaughter Lindsay Bingaman; sisters Marion Jenson and Patti Schmaltz; brother Leonard Schmaltz, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was loved and will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
