MEDFORD Sharon Dalton, age 73, died Jan. 12, 2011, in Medford, Ore. The daughter of George and Marie Campbell, she was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Jacksonville, Ore.
She had lived in Long Beach for more than 30 years, and had just recently moved to Medford.
After retiring from Telephone Utilities, she vested her time in homemaking. She loved to sew for her family, including making costumes and prizes for her granddaughter, Mckenzie, and the Long Beach Rodeo. She worked in her yard, and took on any task, including caring for a goose that lost its wing to a coyote and needed to have it removed.
Survivors include her sons, George Dalton of Long Beach, Bob Dalton of Raymond and Mike Dalton of Oregon; one daughter, Laurie Hays of Medford; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Patrick Campbell of Vancouver. Her husband of 49 years, George Dalton, and a brother, Ross Campbell, preceded her in death.
