ALASKA — Warren Rulo Albrecht, 85, died Aug. 18, 2013, in Tenakee Springs, Alaska.

He was born July 7, 1928, in Seattle. He was raised in Seattle attending Cleveland High School. The majority of his working career was spent in Portland, designing equipment that made plywood. He was intrigued by machinery and had the ability to repair almost anything. After his retirement he resided in Ocean Park and would spend summers going to Tenakee Springs, Alaska to fish and putter.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bea; his children, Debbie Rolfness, Michael Talbot, John Albrecht and Lisa Jacobson; grandchildren, Vanessa Colburn, Kendal Albrecht-Miller, Blake Albrecht, Brent Albrecht, Christopher Jacobson and numerous great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Sept. 14 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaview at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the Tenakee Springs Fire Department in Tenakee Springs, Alaska.
