LONG BEACH — William R. “Bill” Litschke, 55, died of natural causes on Aug. 4, 2013, at his Long Beach residence. Bill was born Oct. 6, 1958 in Ilwaco, the son of the late William F. and Ernesteen (Belknap) Litschke. He was a graduate of Ilwaco High School and received his associate degree in natural resources from Skagit Valley Community College in 1983.

Bill was a cannery worker for the last 27 years, starting at Chinook Packing and working at Bell Buoy in Chinook at the time of his death. For a brief time he had been employed by the Washington State Parks.

Bill is survived by his brother, Fred Litschke; sisters, Katie (Jim) Engel and Frances (Dick) Carter; nephews, Rich (Angie) Carter, Jim (Tammy) Engel and Rob (Pam) Engel; nieces, Sarah (Jeff) Kirsch and Kate (Gino) Guerrero; great-nieces, Samantha, Annie, Sadie, Vienna and Julia; great-nephews Joseph, Ben and Antonio; and one great-great-niece, Kassaundra.

No service will be held. Private interment at Ilwaco Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either Friends of Chinook School or Chinook Food Bank, P.O. Box 243, Chinook, WA 98614. His guest book is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
