Barack Obama needs to pick a running mate. Let's see, someone who will enhance the Democrats' ticket. That person must have charisma and ideas - vote getting power. Obama's choice should be both articulate and energetic, not only to work through this campaign, but also to serve for at least four years.

Meanwhile, Obama has appointed four advisors to look for an appropriate vice presidential candidate. One of his campaign themes has been freshness, so he should not pick a party elder, but still needs someone voters already know. That Obama is pointedly ignoring the obvious troubles me.
