I know that there are still more LNG meetings that will happen over the next several months. I want to reiterate for your readers that throughout the process so far, the Bradwood Landing people been nothing but upfront and fairly generous as they have moved through the permitting process. Taking the cynical approach is so easy for many of our citizens that it is hard to read the paper anymore.
Many people forget that they've been more than responsible corporate citizens in our area - giving much needed help after this winter's storm for example. They've consistently supported low-income charities and arts groups. The cynics lump Bradwood into a corporate category instead of looking at what they have done so far.
Since the beginning they've been honest about what they want to do and how they'll do it. Time will tell, but the conjecture and witch hunts might look silly in newspaper articles down the road. I, for one, hope that the state agencies recognize that we need to generate this kind of economic development in our region. Keep them honest, but my goodness, stop the madness.
