What a shock to me when I read last week in the news about the Wal-Mart temporary employee who was trampled to death and four shoppers, including a woman eight months pregnant were injured, after thousands of shoppers burst through the doors of Wal-Mart. What has become of society? Are we like tigers and lions in the world and if we see something we want we will injure or kill for it?

Look around at a busy Safeway or Wal-Mart or any store during busy hours and if you are at the checkout taking your time and not moving fast enough someone will say something to you to speed you up when they should be patient. Merchants of very busy stores, especially during Black Friday and other major sales, need to take better precautions so an incident that happened at Wal-Mart won't happen again.

So next time you are at a busy store and get "frenzied," think about that Wal-Mart worker who paid with his life so that those shoppers could get that most needed item and those people injured and the pregnant lady and maybe you won't be in such a rush to get that needed item.
