We have been following with great interest the controversy of Pacific County's "fast tracking" permits for the proposed dunes development in Seaview. Apart from the question of suitability of such a development in the dunes, we as property owners and taxpayers to Pacific County believe the reviews for such a large, impacting project were bypassed from the onset.

It seems that a developer from out of town must meet a lesser standard than the property owners of the area. The permit process for local property owners seems set at such a stricter standard. I would think that it would be a little stricter for the developer as they are here one minute and gone the next. It would be appreciated if county officials would research the developer instead of spending so much time on us local people.
