Dine tonight, Oct. 18, over a fine dinner at the 42nd Street Cafe and support the Grassroots Garbage Gang, the local volunteer group that organizes the community beach cleanups every January, April and July.

Whether you clean the beach or your circumstances don't warrant that, this is a wonderful opportunity to support this local, definitely grass roots, all volunteers of all ages, means and backgrounds, non-profit group that has no other formal fundraisers.

Funds are needed for the infrastucture around cleanups - like signs/sandwich board, printing, and so on.

The 42nd Street Cafe will donate 20 percent of your purchase this evening to the Grass Roots Garbage Gang, the charity picked for their October monthly charity night. Just toss your receipt into the Community Fund bowl as you leave the restaurant to have your purchase count towards that Grass Roots Garbage Gang benefit.

So, beach lovers, come dine with the community that cares tonight!
