In these days good advice is hard to come by, but all is not lost. Consider these: (1) "Why bother, my one vote won't count." Wrong! It will. Just study the local letters to the editor for a few weeks. You will see someone with whom you disagree. Guess who he will probably vote for, and you vote for his opponent; your vote will certainly count and his won't. (2) The state income tax. Vote for it. Consider the needs of our schools. Public education almost always depended on the extraction of natural resources, public and private, and they are nearly gone while our population has grown. Think of agriculture and its necessary land; mining, fishing and timber. Do it! The future needs it.
