I say right on - regarding the story by staff writer Amanda Frink on the subject of recycling. I do love this Peninsula and had only happy memories of visiting as a child and teenager during short summers and tent camping. We came from Seattle in the 1930s and 1940s.

But my first disappointment on arriving here to live in the summer of 1997 was this very subject. I couldn't believe there was no regular recycling routes as many cities have enjoyed for the past 50 or 60 years, and no special days for dangerous electronic gunk as we had in Spokane. We don't want that stuff in our garbage dumps.

I hope the computer users are aware that for several years Office Depot and Hewlett Packard have advertised that they will pick up this dangerous stuff in the cities anyway.
