The members of the Surfside Homeowners Association have been searching since March for candidates who are willing to serve the members as trustees of the association. There are three open positions on the board of trustees this year.
The deadline for applications from potential candidates who wish to have their names, photographs and a statement regarding their candidacy publicized in the Association's quarterly newsletter, SHOAndTell, was May 4; however, additional candidates can still be identified and nominations will be accepted from the floor during the annual membership meeting in the Ocean Park School on July 14 at 10 a.m.
The candidate's application form requires that candidates "be a Member in Good Standing (membership dues paid in full) of SHOA, and that you have a real desire to make our Association and community a better place for all our members."
If you are a potential candidate, or if you know potential candidates who may desire additional information, contact the SHOA business office (665-4171) or stop by the office at 31402 H. Street.
