I have been reading the health care bill and I am writing to make you aware of a few facts. First of all, the individual, that's you and I, will be required to purchase "acceptable" health insurance (that is if your empolyer doesn't cover you) or you will pay a tax penalty of 2.5 percent of your annual income! I don't know about you, but I do not want the government telling/forcing me to do anything! Let alone force me to pay more taxes. Bottom line.

What about you? The second thing is, to pay for the bill they are going to make about $500 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. You know what that means for the elderly? Once again they get the raw end of the deal! Plus they claim they will raise $200 billion from the tax penalties form those who do not buy insurance and from employers who dont cover their employees. A "surcharge" on the wealthiest 1.2 percent of americans is going to pay for half the bill. I am sure as I read through the bill there will be other things that will be of concern. Everyone should be concerned with the current bill as it will affect everyone! Do your homework. Learn the facts. And if you are happy or unhappy let your senators and house representative know! Remember they work for you - not the other way around!

God bless America!
